How many all-twine knotted Rosaries could give away — one at a time?
Throughout Lent 2009, we want to give you the unique experience of seeing the glow on someone’s face when they receive a free Rosary from Rosary Army.
Let us know how many Rosaries you think you could give away and we’ll send you that many Rosaries. You want 5? Ok. Want 50? As long as you agree not to sell them, not to dump them all into a basket at the back of Church, and not to give them away all at once to a classroom or group, we’ll give them to you.
We want you to take the Rosaries we send to you and find people in your parish, family, and neighborhood and give them away one at a time. Look that person in the eye, hand them a Rosary, and say, “This is for you. Have a great Lent!” And each time you give one away, we ask that you encourage that person to pray for Rosary Army, and to use the instructions enclosed with each Rosary to learn how to make them to give away to others.
2009 found Rosary Army blessed with many new rosary makers, and as a result more people than ever have been affected by our motto: “Make Them. Pray Them. Give Them Away.” But in 2010 we want to reach out to even more people, give away even more Rosaries, and encourage more people than ever before to start making them, praying them, and giving them away. We want you to be a part of blessing people during Lent by giving away Rosaries one at a time.
Click this link, fill out the form, and mail it to us and we’ll take care of the rest, including shipping. This offer expires on April 1, 2010 or when we run out of Rosaries. We have approximately 5,000 Rosaries ready to go out the door, but they’re available only on a first come, first serve basis and we ask you to limit your request to 50 Rosaries. And to be respectful of others, if you don’t honestly think you can find 50 individual people to give a Rosary to, then please only request the number you really think you need. Additionally, please do not send in multiple forms from one household or request Rosaries for other people. These Rosaries are hand-made by Rosary Army soldiers from around the world, and the purpose of this is to not only encourage people to pray the Rosary, but to encourage people (including YOU) to make them, as well. Hopefully, every one who receives one of these Rosaries will eventually send some back to Rosary Army for us to give those away.

UPDATE (01/25/10): As of today 3,735 all-twine knotted Rosaries have been requested and are being shipped out for this Lenten Reverse Giving Campaign. Please note that if we receive your request after we have run out of our Lenten supply of Rosaries, we will not be able to send the maximum amount of Rosaries possible, but will instead send you at least two Rosaries – one for you to keep, and one for you to give away. Once we have received requests for the 5,000 Rosaries we have on hand, we’ll return to our normal “One Rosary per household” policy. Thanks for your understanding and the overwhelming response to this reverse giving campaign!
